The Aftermath....
This week the aftermath of Katrina has glued me to the tube. My heart goes out to the survivors of Katrina. Most are facing more hardships than anyone should have to endure. My cousin left the gulf of MS with his family to an upstate friend before Katrina hit. He lost his home and all of their belongings. His job was in an oil refinery which may not be back up and running for months. He's wanting to get back here to PA; which is really hard with the gas situation. Without electricity the pumps don't work, or the wait in itself is an added stress for an survivor of the hurricane. Maybe after the holiday weekend he'll try again.
I did get an e-mail from my son. He lives in Hendersonville, NC. He's even having a hard time finding gas to get to work which is in Ashville, NC. Long lines and only premium grade at the pumps; and a whopping 7 bucks a gallon pricetag! And I bitched about $2.79 gallon on Wednesday and I apologize. DLaines' world is on steady ground for awhile; my family is safe. I just wish I could hug them.....
