Spring really has sprung..

Today was a perfectly bright sunny spring day. Outside temps was 70 degrees, and spring clean-up is long over due. After feeding the fish I got my ass in gear and put air in the tractor tires and in the trailer's tire. Found the rake. Now I was ready. If anyone wants pine cones; there's about ten million that I hauled out to a pile in the back. Plus if you need kindling there's a truck load out back too. I quit about 4pm because the blister broke and my skin had rubbed off and was bleeding. Gloves didn't help! The most painful was when I was cleaning my hands with Acetone to get the pine pitch off. Yep, it trickled down my hand to where the raw skin was. Damn that hurt! My booboo needs a kiss! No one here to do that!
The best part of the day was seeing the Painted Turtle sunning itself on the log in the small pond. Its either mom or dad to the 7 turtles that I have in the house. Darn; Just heard on Channel 4 news that by mid-week snow is in the forecast again! Glad I had at least one day to start the yard clean up. Only have 10 more loads of branches and pine cones to go!!! Back to work tomorrow; maybe I'll work next Saturday for time and a half since I have no one to come home to.
